we lev up and kill him - he ended up being the second mob I ever had killed in chardok! PB wasn't too bad either - got him the third day I tried for him - after about 8 hours total camping.Showing 25 out of 117. ![]() When we get there we see an iksar standing up at the exit of the tunnel there minding his own business. I hadn't been to Chardok before - my first time in we followed a path cleared by a group that was just setting up at the guardhouse. I may have had a long Raster camp for my epic (well - I did raster before the epic quest came out - i just wanted the robe back then) but my betrayer was very easy. I did camp Raster one more time and that took about 10-15 hours for me to get the idol I eventually used to get myself a new robe.Īnd yeah, I agree with the theory that if you have an easy camp - somewhere else will be a long one or vice versa. I ended up MQing that idol though for another guild monk cause he was wanting an entire guild raid to camp Bro Z for a night and I was sick of him asking for something I knew wasn't really going to happen. I killed raster and hit FD with 5 percent health - seems i got lucky and really didn't bring any mobs on me from the run down - just the minos in the raster room. I joked how "wouldn't it be funny if Raster was already up? So I run down there and just run non stop through the live side of Guk hoping I get past mobs before I am noticed by them - I get to the room and RASTER WAS UP! The problem was it was 7am in game and he was about to despawn so I had no choice but to start fighting him and hope to live through the barage of minos and whatever I had trained down to the room from the entrance. I remember when I decided I was going to run down there - I had a druid friend drop me off in South Ro and give me a SoW. It also was way back when the best monk weapon was bare fists and Iksars were just a dream, so just keeping the camp clear meant I needed friends for help (I was about L45 or so at the time) - I felt so bad for always dragging my friends down there, but much later they told me that it was actually one of the best EXP camps they had been to at that time so they really didn't mind.Īfter I finished my epic, I had no chest item to wear so I actually did the quest over again - the robe was one of the very best chest items for a monk at that time. My original Raster camp took a little over 100 hours total. Hey Que!! Get a hold of me and I'll show you exactly how it works. If and when I get him to spawn I will probably add what little tidbits I learned from the camp for others to read about if this suggestion I made proved useful. Im off for KC and the Drolvarg Pawbuster. I trust this little bit of information is helpful and I wish all monks the best of luck when camping this mob. Since this will allow more Phers to spawn this will give you better chances to get Raster. If you start killing after the despawn and respawn that will assure you 3 Phers per EQ day since 27 minutes x 3 equals 81 minutes, which is 9 minutes less than 1 EQ day since a full EQ day is 90 minutes. If you watch your EQ clock while FDing you will notice at 7am EQ time the mob will spawn and then at 8 to 9 am the mob will respawn. The reason he spawns only 2.666 times is because at certain times of the EQ day the Pher will despawn and then respawn. If you just kill the Pher at random times you will find that the Pher will only spawn 2.666 times per EQ day. Now when I was camping Raster I was racking my brain wondering should I be killing at certain times or just trash the PHer every time he spawned. That means that half a day is 45 minutes. One complete day of EQ time is roughly and hour and 30 minutes. Now let me explain somewhat EQ time.ĮQ time works a little bit differently than normal time, I.E. I fully suggest you do this because it gives you a better chance for PHers to spawn in a given time. Now Bodi suggests that you kill the Phers on a timer based on EQ time. It was done over a weekend, mostly a Friday night, and an all day Saturday but I got my spawn and screamed to the guild as to my success. For me it took 20 hours in one sitting to get my Raster, which I felt was worth the time I spent there. ![]() It means that every 27 minutes either a Minotaur will spawn, or Froglok, or eventually Raster will spawn. I really dont know if that is the case, but I do know that the Phers are on a 27 minute timer. Now if you look on this website on Raster you find that Bodi states Raster is on a 72 minute timer. First off the spawn table on the place holder is 27 minutes. I thought if others are camping Raster that I would add my two cents in hopes of getting others a successful attempt and getting this shifty monk to spawn. ![]() ![]() Thanks for the little bit of advice that you gave it really helped out.
